Membership Application

Applications are screened by real people; approval/denial emails are not immediate and may take as much as one week.

Please be as verbose as possible in answering the following questions. Most applications are not initially accepted due to lack of information and specifics.

Please note, the Church of Body Modification is not for everyone. In the application below, you will be asked to describe your spirituality and how it relates to body modification. We are not asking for the significance of your body modifications or the stories behind them. We are asking for your personal spiritual experience with body modification. If you are unclear as to what “spiritual” means, please look it up before answering the questions below. Answers not specifically addressing a spiritual system including body modification will result in a denied application.

If you are unclear as to whether or not your body modifications are part of your spiritual system, please contact us.

Community Standard of Practice

As a member of the Church of Body Modification, I agree to uphold the shared values of our community. By submitting this application, I commit to the following:

Respect for Autonomy and Consent: I acknowledge that every member has complete authority over their own body. I will respect the bodily autonomy of others. I understand that touching another member or their modifications without permission, or making unsolicited comments about their body, is a violation of this agreement.

A Commitment to Respect: I commit to treating all members with dignity. I will not engage in harassment, bullying, discrimination, or hate speech. I understand that judging others based on their race, gender, background, or modification choices is contrary to the Church’s beliefs.

Privacy and Safety: I agree to help keep this community a safe place for personal growth. I will respect the privacy of others and will not share private conversations, photos, or personal experiences outside the Church without consent.

Type AGREE if you agree to the Community Standard of Practice.
